Senior C++ Engineer – Low‑Latency Trading

About the role

We are seeking a Senior C++ Engineer to design, build and scale low‑latency trading and market‑data systems for a leading global multi‑strategy hedge fund. You will work on mission‑critical infrastructure that powers execution, real‑time data processing and quantitative research across the APAC region.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement high‑performance trading systems covering order entry, execution and market‑data pipelines.
• Develop core infrastructure such as exchange simulators, research tooling and strategy containers.
• Collaborate with quantitative researchers, traders and architects to deliver high‑impact solutions.
• Optimize system performance for latency, throughput and reliability.
• Provide technical leadership on architecture, coding standards and engineering best practices.
• Support production environments, including real‑time troubleshooting of latency‑critical issues.
• Partner with global teams on cross‑platform and cross‑strategy initiatives.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience building low‑latency, production‑grade systems in trading or a similarly performance‑critical domain.
• Strong proficiency in modern C++ and solid experience with Python.
• Deep understanding of Linux internals, networking and systems programming.
• Expert knowledge of CPU architecture, caching, NUMA and performance optimisation.
• Experience with low‑latency networking (TCP/UDP, multicast, kernel‑bypass technologies).
• Familiarity with trading systems, systematic strategies or quantitative research workflows.
• Proven ability to collaborate across teams and influence technical direction.
