Senior Contract Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Contract Specialist to join Surbana Jurong in Singapore. The role involves managing the full contract lifecycle for building and premises projects, ensuring cost accuracy, financial control, and compliance with contractual terms.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimations, verify subcontractor and vendor submissions, and ensure timely approval by the Authority.
• Develop financial projections, monitor budgets, and control expenditures for works.
• Compile monthly payment claims and final accounts, submitting complete documentation for Authority payment.
• Conduct site measurements and prepare work order claims as needed.
• Maintain thorough knowledge of existing contracts, terms, and clauses.
• Review and draft tender specifications, evaluate submissions, and prepare contract documentation.
• Validate “star rate items” against market prices before work commencement.
• Collect and analyse star rates and quotation data for future procurement.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in contract administration for construction or premises projects.
• Strong understanding of contractual terms, budgeting, and cost control.
• Ability to prepare accurate cost estimates and financial projections.
• Proficiency in preparing payment claims and final accounts with supporting evidence.
• Experience in tender preparation, evaluation, and contract documentation.
