Senior Cost Accountant – Manufacturing Management Accounting

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Cost Accountant to join Kulicke and Soffa’s finance team. The role focuses on analyzing manufacturing costs, managing inventory, and delivering accurate financial reporting for our production operations.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with Business Units, Operations, and Supply Chain to manage inventories and manufacturing cost activities.
• Lead month‑end closing for Business Units, prepare journal entries, and analyze inventory valuations, variances, and accruals.
• Coordinate GIT reporting, Bill‑and‑Hold accruals, and prepare detailed account analyses for sales, cost of sales, and inventory.
• Produce monthly and quarterly gross‑margin analysis by product line and ensure timely submission to management.
• Review fixed‑cost and variable‑cost reports, write commentary on cost behavior, and support presentation preparation for operational cost reviews.
• Conduct annual physical inventory counts, quarterly E&O reviews, and bi‑annual standard‑cost revaluations.
• Assist in the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) manufacturing cost budget and ensure alignment with absorption rates.
• Maintain internal control documentation, test controls, and support SOX 404 compliance.
• Collaborate with IT on costing system issues and perform black‑line certification for cost‑accounting accounts.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, or CMA is a strong advantage.
• Typically 7 + years of experience in cost accounting, inventory management, and manufacturing finance.

Required skills

• Proficiency with BlackLine for account reconciliation.
