Senior Design Architect

About the role

SPARK Architects is seeking a Senior Design Architect to lead the creative direction of complex, high‑profile projects. You will translate client briefs into compelling, context‑sensitive designs that balance aesthetics, sustainability, and financial viability.

Key responsibilities

• Lead design from concept through design development, including space planning, façade concepts, and material selection.
• Produce drawings, 3D models, renderings, mood boards, diagrams and presentation packages.
• Present design ideas to clients and internal teams, incorporate feedback and refine solutions.
• Collaborate closely with project architects, technical teams, consultants and suppliers to ensure design intent is maintained across all documents.
• Research and specify appropriate materials, finishes and products.
• Mentor junior architects and designers, and help the team meet project deadlines and quality standards.
• Participate in design, coordination and site meetings, and resolve design‑related issues.
• Maintain organized project records, drawings and meeting notes.

Required profile

• Strong architectural design, conceptual thinking and space‑planning abilities, demonstrated by a portfolio of complex, high‑quality projects.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture or a related field; professional registration is a plus.
• Experience with large‑scale, mixed‑use or urban‑design developments, including master‑planning and integration of landscape and interiors.
• Proven ability to work in international or multicultural teams, preferably with experience in Asia.
