Senior Embedded Software Test Manager

About the role

The Senior Embedded Software Test Manager will own and define the quality and verification strategy across embedded software, mobile apps, IoT, and cloud platforms. This role leads high‑performing Test & QA teams, coaches leads and managers, and provides technical direction for system, integration, protocol, connectivity, security, and compliance testing.

Key responsibilities

• Define and drive quality strategy, test architecture, and automation for complex multi‑platform systems.
• Build and develop high‑performing Test & QA teams, mentor leads, and influence release decisions with strong quality evidence.
• Represent Test & QA in program governance, oversee quality metrics, dashboards, and analytics.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards such as security, RF, Matter, safety, and market regulations.
• Collaborate with project, design, and architecture managers to create test plans, budgets, and report progress to senior stakeholders.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electronics, Software Engineering or related field.
• 15+ years of experience in software/embedded/IoT/app/cloud testing, including 10+ years managing Test & QA teams.
• Proven experience delivering quality for large‑scale, multi‑platform consumer products.
• Strong leadership, cross‑functional influencing, and ability to mentor and build high‑performance engineering culture.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for presenting technical information to executives and non‑technical leaders.

Required skills

• Automation programming: Python, C, Kotlin, Swift.
• CI/CD pipeline development and integration.
• Protocol testing: BLE, Wi‑Fi, MQTT.
• Embedded, API, and mobile test frameworks.
• Test tools: protocol analyzers, device sniffers, simulators, mobile app and cloud test utilities.
• Data‑driven dashboards, observability, and quality analytics.
