Senior Energy Engineer (WDA)

About the role

In this role you will manage energy utilization on site and develop an energy conservation strategy that complies with the Singapore Energy Conservation Act 2012. You will also lead the site energy efficiency program, introducing best practices to improve efficiency and reduce environmental impact.

Key responsibilities

• Lead implementation of the site’s energy conservation program and develop related policies.
• Manage the site energy conservation program with all stakeholders to ensure consistent awareness and participation.
• Introduce and stage a computerized energy monitoring system for the site.
• Collaborate with maintenance managers to evaluate HVAC and process equipment energy utilization.
• Oversee utility, process and system energy efficiency programs, coordinating preventive and predictive maintenance.
• Lead and recommend energy‑efficient projects in capital planning and procurement.
• Develop a system to track energy‑conservation projects, cost savings and stretch goals.
• Develop and monitor department KPIs, ensuring compliance with regulatory and corporate requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Engineering (preferably in a related field) or equivalent.
• Singapore Certified Energy Manager certification.
• 5–10 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or related industry.
• Demonstrated leadership behavior and project‑management expertise.
• Knowledge of applicable regulations, cGMP standards and energy‑conservation legislation.
