Senior Engineer, NAND Product Engineering

About the role

Micron Technology is looking for a Senior Engineer in NAND Product Engineering, working directly in support of the NAND Product Development Team Leader. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive new product development and integrate AI solutions into actionable plans, representing the NAND engineering team with business units, quality assurance, fabrication, testing and supply chain. The role is described as highly impactful, with broad scope and high visibility.

Key responsibilities

• Negotiate and align NAND requirements with business units and SSD development leads, turning them into qualification specs that guide NAND development.
• Develop AI workflow solutions to automate and augment data extraction and analysis for NAND specification requirements.
• Integrate NAND Product Engineering with Technology Development and Design Engineering teams to embed NAND memory into SSD systems and end-customer applications.
• Work with Product Engineering, Business Units, Supply Chain Planning, Silicon Fabrication, Component Assembly and Test teams to enable seamless engineering execution.
• Create AI-embedded workflows and a NAND program management system to track and communicate priorities and actions for on-time product qualifications.
• Represent Product Engineering in product development reviews, lead cross-functional meetings and collaborate on plans and changes needed to deliver NAND component solutions.
• Organize NAND capability data reviews to advance progress toward customer product qualification samples.
• Solve complex problems arising from NAND-system interactions and guide the team toward resolution.

Required profile

• PhD, or Master's degree with at least 3 years, or Bachelor's degree with at least 5 years of relevant experience in electrical engineering, materials science or a related field, with expertise in semiconductor NAND product development.
• Proven track record of developing agentic solutions using industry-standard models and development platforms (Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot).
• Self-motivated, growth-minded, with strong problem-solving, communication and organizational skills.
• Willingness to work in a diverse, global cross-functional engineering environment.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of NAND design/device, validation, test flows, reliability and failure analysis.
• Interest in expanding knowledge into system product enablement, media management algorithms and system architecture.
