Senior Engineer, PD SG, Dry Etch, NAND

About the role

Micron is hiring a Senior Process Development Engineer for its Dry Etch, NAND team. The role focuses on developing next-generation NAND process technologies, working closely with cross-functional teams and fabs to deliver on demanding projects.

Key responsibilities

• Rapidly deploy new NAND process technologies and drive development efforts before device ramp.
• Define and complete actions needed to meet key performance targets within timelines.
• Evaluate Dry Etch tool performance, examine process windows and refine Dry Etch recipes for 3D NAND.
• Troubleshoot processes in cross-functional teams to improve yield and quality.
• Identify and own areas for improvement, collaborating with other fabs and technology development teams.
• Drive process simplification and integrate proven manufacturing methods into early development of upcoming nodes.
• Use AI to streamline workflows, optimize processes and support data-driven decisions.

Required profile

• PhD in Material Science, Physics, Chemistry, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or a Bachelor's/Master's degree in one of these fields with at least 3 years of semiconductor dry etch process development experience.
• Proven track record of publications, patents or invention disclosures.
• Strong interest in technology development and ability to build relationships with cross-functional teams and vendors.
• Excellent written, verbal and presentation communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
