Senior Engineer, Process Integration, NTI NAND

About the role

Micron Technology is hiring a Senior NAND Module Process Integration Engineer in its Singapore R&D department. You will design, develop, integrate and implement process solutions that improve the yield and quality of next-generation 3D NAND products, with competitive cost and performance within the required timeline.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and quantify key module deficiencies and technology gaps, and lead cross-functional teams to address them
• Improve current process flows and develop innovative solutions that meet product requirements and manufacturability
• Develop or redefine CSPEC criteria for optimal product performance and drive activities to ensure manufacturing process capability
• Coordinate activities at the manufacturing site to secure funding for experiments and conversions, and communicate decisions to R&D, Product Engineering and Manufacturing partners
• Run development projects evaluating new integration schemes for alpha and derivative part types, and establish proof of concept for future tech nodes at the manufacturing facility
• Support the transfer of new technology from R&D to manufacturing, including documentation and training of module fundamentals
• Help ensure a successful ramp-up and qualification, and contribute to continuous improvement by testing and sharing AI-enabled enhancements

Required profile

• BS, MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Microelectronics, Chemical Engineering, Material Science or a related field
• At least 3 years of experience in the semiconductor industry in Process Integration and Yield Enhancement
• Strong holistic understanding of PI modules on new NAND technologies and related structural and electrical fail mechanisms
• Ability to travel for extended periods to the US for collaborative R&D work
• Self-motivated, able to work in a demanding and dynamic environment

Required skills

• Desirable: in-depth knowledge of non-volatile memories (NAND), the NAND process flow, and common yield and reliability issues
• Desirable: exposure to R&D and transfer/manufacturing
• Desirable: scripting, programming, engineering, business intelligence or analytics software such as Python, SolidWorks, Tableau, Power BI
