Senior Engineer - Test Solutions Engineering
marvell · Singapore
Job description
About the role
Marvell develops semiconductor solutions that form the building blocks of data infrastructure across enterprise, cloud, AI and carrier architectures. Test Solutions Engineering (TSE) ensures the quality, reliability and performance of its custom silicon products, and this role owns the test solutions from early design through high-volume manufacturing readiness. It involves developing ATE (Automated Test Equipment) production test solutions for hyperscaler customers.
Key responsibilities
- Develop ATE test solutions: create detailed test plans, define experiments and analyse yield, performance and reliability of custom products.
- Develop test screening methods based on application conditions, IP capabilities, design timing margins and process technology, optimised for test time efficiency, and refine them through ATE characterisation and customer feedback.
- Use the product's DFT solution to explore the operating space, characterise silicon variations and drive failure root-cause analysis, establishing test margins that protect yield and quality.
- Partner with design teams and customers to define DFT requirements and test strategy, working with customers, design, DFT, operations and reliability teams to meet coverage, quality and schedule requirements.
Required profile
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in Product Engineering, Test Engineering, DFT or Technology Characterization.
- Expertise in one or more of: Product Engineering and Test Development, Automated Test Equipment (ATE), Design-for-test methodology (SCAN, MBIST), HSIO (Serdes, D2D), Sensors, Processors, Statistics and data analysis, Semiconductor process technology, Reliability and qualification methodologies.
- Strong verbal and written communication, and proven analytical and problem-solving skills, including root-cause analysis under ambiguity.
- Eligibility to access export-controlled information under U.S. export control laws (EAR).
Required skills
- Scripting and programming in Python, Perl or R within a Linux environment.
- Experience applying AI and machine learning tools to accelerate data analysis, test optimisation or yield learning.
What we offer
- Eligibility for Marvell's bonus and equity plans, including a new hire equity grant and annual equity refreshers.
- Competitive compensation and benefits.
