Senior H&B Consulting Analyst

About the role

Mercer's Health Consulting team in Singapore is looking for a Senior H&B Consulting Analyst. The role is based in the Singapore office and is hybrid, with at least three days a week spent in the office. The team helps clients make informed decisions about their employee health and benefits programmes, working with client relationship, operations and technology teams to improve employee engagement, health outcomes and cost sustainability.

Key responsibilities

• Liaise with clients to collect data in line with project requirements
• Conduct benefits benchmarking, claims analysis, feasibility assessments and cost-benefit analysis to support plan design decisions
• Support Health Consultants and Senior Consultants with new business opportunities and sales channel partners
• Use Mercer Health tools and products effectively to complete project tasks
• Collaborate with colleagues across Marsh McLennan businesses and Mercer teams to develop intellectual capital for webinars, forums, publications and points of view
• Guide and train junior analysts as needed

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in employee benefits, or transferable experience in an in-house HR or benefits role
• Ability to prioritise multiple tasks, work to tight deadlines and contribute both independently and as part of a team
• Analytical mindset with the ability to collate and analyse large amounts of data
• Ability to obtain and maintain any required licences in line with state regulations and Mercer policies

Required skills

• Well-developed data cleaning, analysis and recordkeeping skills
• Well-developed communication and active listening skills
• Interest in using data to build clear insights and recommendations
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with exposure to Power Query, VBA, R or Python
