Senior Key Account Manager – Hard Disk Drive (HDD)

About the role

We are looking for a senior‑level Key Account Manager to lead revenue growth and strategic penetration within the hard‑disk‑drive (HDD) supply chain. The role requires deep knowledge of HDD architecture and an established network of C‑suite and engineering contacts at major OEMs such as Seagate and Western Digital.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and expand a portfolio of key HDD accounts, acting as the primary executive sponsor.
• Develop and execute strategic account plans to increase share of wallet across product lines and sites.
• Leverage existing engineering, procurement and operations relationships to obtain early access to RFQs and design‑in opportunities.
• Lead complex contract negotiations covering pricing, volume, lead times and liability.
• Ensure forecasting accuracy and coordinate with internal operations to meet supply demand.
• Escalate and resolve critical supply‑chain or quality issues, bridging internal engineering and client manufacturing.
• Collaborate with product development and marketing to translate client requirements into internal specifications and targeted campaigns.

Required profile

• 8+ years of progressive sales or account‑management experience in semiconductor, electronic components or precision manufacturing.
• Proven success selling within the HDD supply chain and an active network of decision‑makers at Seagate and Western Digital.
• Deep understanding of HDD manufacturing processes, component specifications and supply‑chain logistics.
• Strong financial acumen with ability to calculate TCO and ROI.
• Excellent presentation skills for both technical engineers and C‑suite executives.
• Willingness to travel 30‑50% globally.
