Senior Maintenance Technician – Engineering & Facilities

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Maintenance Technician to join our engineering & facilities team at a premier hotel in Singapore. You will be the first point of contact for guest repair requests and will ensure the smooth operation of all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.

Key responsibilities

• Respond promptly to guest repair requests and resolve issues with minimal supervision.
• Perform preventive maintenance, cleaning, and lubrication of tools and equipment.
• Inspect tools, equipment, and machines visually and carry necessary gear on‑site.
• Identify and operate shut‑off valves, maintain inventory, and requisition parts.
• Communicate daily activities and handover details to subsequent shifts.
• Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and HVAC drawings.
• Execute complex repairs on HVAC, refrigeration, pool heaters, plumbing, and electrical systems.
• Apply Lockout/Tagout procedures before any maintenance work.
• Use preventive‑maintenance and energy‑management software for tracking and reporting.
• Train and mentor junior engineers and act as Engineer on Duty when required.

Required profile

• Proven ability to work independently and follow safety protocols.
• Advanced knowledge of engineering operations and strong mechanical aptitude.
• Proficiency in at least three of the following: air‑conditioning, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic controls, carpentry, kitchen equipment, vehicle maintenance, energy conservation, building management.
• Solid understanding of safe hand‑tool and power‑tool usage.
• Capability to mentor staff and perform Engineer on Duty duties.
