Senior Manager, Financial Assistance & Scholarships

About the role

Ngee Ann Polytechnic is hiring a Senior Manager for Financial Assistance and Scholarships within its Student & Alumni Services Office. This is a 2-year contract position leading the administration of financial assistance schemes and scholarship programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the implementation, planning, administration, review and enhancement of financial assistance schemes such as bursaries, grants, emergency assistance and donor-funded awards.
• Manage the end-to-end administration of scholarships, including outreach, applications, selection, award administration, recipient monitoring and coordination with schools and scholarship providers.
• Review and recommend improvements to policies, frameworks and processes to ensure good governance, compliance and sustainability.
• Drive initiatives that improve student access, retention, progression and success through timely financial assistance.
• Analyse student needs, funding trends and programme outcomes to inform planning and policy.
• Lead and develop a high-performing team, manage budgets, resources, governance, risk and operations, and set performance indicators.
• Promote digitalisation and streamline workflows to improve operational efficiency.

Required profile

• Relevant academic qualification with at least 8 years of experience in student services, financial assistance and scholarship administration or related fields.
• Proven leadership experience managing teams, strategic initiatives and cross-functional projects.
• Demonstrated experience in stakeholder and partnership management.
• Experience in programme governance, policy development, budgeting, risk management and operational planning.
