Senior Manager - Multi-Assets Portfolio Manager

About the role

Eastspring, a global asset manager with Asia at its core, is hiring a Senior Manager Multi-Assets Portfolio Manager. The role manages large global macro multi-asset portfolios for Prudential life entities and other institutional clients, aiming for strong investment performance against agreed risk budgets and alpha targets.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the portfolio according to the team's views and mandate guidelines, delivering strong performance against risk budgets and alpha targets.
• Lead global macro research and alpha generation, assessing and recommending tactical investment ideas alongside analysis of global asset classes and implementation approaches.
• Assist senior portfolio managers in scanning derivative ideas for alpha and monitoring them.
• Implement the client's strategic asset allocation objectives, including asset mix versus liabilities, expected returns and risk, and capital ratio adequacy.
• Work with relationship managers to give ongoing investment updates to internal and external clients and to answer client queries.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of experience in investment research, macroeconomic analysis or portfolio strategy.
• A strong background in fixed income markets, emerging markets and derivatives is highly desirable.
• Experience in strategic asset allocation, portfolio construction and multi-asset investing is highly desirable.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills, able to turn macroeconomic, market and fundamental insights into investment recommendations.
• Team player who contributes to view creation and portfolio construction while working independently and owning responsibility for fund management.
• Resourceful and flexible in a rapidly changing environment.
