Senior Manager – Technology Incubator

About the role

The Senior Manager will support the Assistant Director and Director in the day‑to‑day operations of SingHealth's Technology Incubator (SCOUT). This role bridges research, commercialisation and start‑up formation to bring innovative biomedical solutions to market.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee applications for incubator support and evaluate projects across commercial, regulatory, clinical and IP dimensions.
• Manage technology development timelines and patent filing status.
• Assist in establishing new spin‑off companies, preparing business plans and market assessments.
• Coordinate external service providers, consultants and legal agreements.
• Engage with corporate partners and negotiate collaboration agreements.

Required profile

• Degree in Biomedical Engineering or related field with at least 8 years of business development or commercialisation experience in medical devices, biotech, pharma or healthcare.
• MBA or a Master’s in Biomedical Engineering preferred.
• Proven experience negotiating and finalising agreements with corporate partners.
• Passion for biomedical sciences, entrepreneurship and prior start‑up involvement.
• Knowledge of local regulatory processes (ISO 13485, 21 CFR 820, GMP, GLP).
• Strong project‑management, analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
