Senior Member of Technical Staff - Photolithography Process Development (NAND)

About the role

Micron is hiring a Senior Member of Technical Staff (SMTS) as part of its Technical Leadership Program (TLP). The SMTS defines and leads pathfinding photolithography technologies beyond current roadmaps, shaping Micron's future technical capability. The role leads and influences development and integration strategy, mentors senior engineers and drives innovation across development teams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead pathfinding initiatives for future nodes and architectures
• Establish a long-term technology vision, including photolithography process and equipment roadmaps
• De-risk novel lithography concepts and platforms
• Serve as a technical authority across R&D and manufacturing
• Mentor next-generation technical leaders
• Steward intellectual property and standards
• Use AI-assisted tools to improve efficiency, quality and effectiveness, in line with organizational standards and legal requirements

Required profile

• PhD with at least 12 years, or Master's degree with at least 15 years, of relevant experience in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Physics or a related field
• Demonstrated experience in semiconductor photolithography process development
• Recognized advanced imaging authority
• Multi-node, multi-site program leadership

Required skills

• Photolithography process and equipment roadmaps, and experience with cutting-edge lithography equipment and metrology tools
• Optics, immersion lithography, polarized illumination and low k1 imaging
• Semiconductor process flows and memory architecture
• Lithography simulation tools, material characterization, DOE, SPC and basic statistical data analysis
