Senior Network Engineer

About the role

NCS is looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Senior Network Engineer to join its team in Singapore. The role covers designing, implementing and maintaining the organization's network infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, security and reliability, while leading technical initiatives and mentoring junior team members.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deploy and manage enterprise-level network architectures that support growth and scalability
• Configure and optimize routing and switching protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP) across multiple network segments
• Implement and maintain network security measures, including firewalls, VPNs and access control policies
• Monitor network performance with industry-standard tools and analyze data to find optimization opportunities
• Troubleshoot complex network issues and document solutions
• Integrate cloud networking solutions (AWS, Azure, GCP) with on-premises infrastructure
• Maintain network documentation and configuration management systems
• Mentor junior network engineers and support staff, conduct network assessments and stay current with emerging technologies

Required profile

• 7+ years of professional experience in network engineering or infrastructure management
• 3+ years in a senior-level network engineering role
• Ability to work with cloud networking platforms and hybrid environments
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail and organized project management approach
• Preferred: leadership experience and proven ability to mentor technical teams

Required skills

• Advanced knowledge of TCP/IP and network protocols
• Enterprise routing and switching platforms (Cisco, Juniper, Arista or equivalent)
• Network monitoring and troubleshooting tools
• Firewall management and VPN technologies
• VoIP and unified communications design and implementation
• Preferred: network automation and scripting (Python, Ansible), SDN concepts, ITIL, and strong communication with non-technical stakeholders
