Senior Network Engineer (Team Lead)

About the role

NCS is looking for an experienced Senior Network Engineer with team leadership capabilities to join its organization in Singapore. The role leads a team of network engineers while driving the design, implementation and optimization of the enterprise network infrastructure, combining technical expertise with strategic vision to ensure network reliability, security and performance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and develop a team of network engineers, fostering continuous learning and technical excellence.
• Design and implement scalable network architectures supporting organizational growth and business objectives.
• Oversee network infrastructure upgrades, migrations and optimization initiatives.
• Manage network security protocols, compliance requirements and disaster recovery procedures.
• Monitor network performance metrics, analyze trends and implement proactive solutions to prevent outages.
• Troubleshoot complex network issues and coordinate incident response to minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with IT operations, security and application teams to align network solutions with business needs.
• Manage vendor relationships, evaluate network technologies and oversee budget allocation for network projects.
• Maintain network documentation, standards and best practices, and conduct performance reviews of team members.

Required profile

• 8+ years of professional experience in network engineering and infrastructure management.
• 3+ years of demonstrated team leadership and people management experience.
• Advanced knowledge of network architecture, routing protocols, switching technologies and TCP/IP networking.
• Strong expertise in network security, firewalls, VPNs and access control.
• Proven ability to solve complex network problems, strong project management skills and excellent communication skills.
• Preferred: CCNP, CCIE or equivalent advanced networking certification; familiarity with network automation and scripting (Python, Ansible) is a plus.
