Senior Occupational Therapist (NUHS@Home)

About the role

NUHS@Home, an initiative of the National University Health System, is looking for a Senior Occupational Therapist to play a key role in its Hospital-at-Home programs, including Mobile Inpatient Care (MIC)-at-Home. This flexible role, available as full or part-time, lets you practice at the top of your licence and influence patient outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Assess and manage patients referred for occupational therapy independently and implement treatment plans
• Communicate with referring doctors and other members of the medical team
• Document occupational therapy records accurately and charge patients accurately
• Comply with clinical and service standards and practice within your area of competence, seeking supervision when needed
• Collaborate with colleagues, take part in case conferences and help lead departmental projects
• Manage and oversee therapy equipment inventory
• Contribute to in-service training, educational talks and external workshops, and help develop protocols and guidelines for hospital-at-home and virtual care
• Help promote clinical services, assist in the induction of new occupational therapists and supervise students on clinical attachments

Required profile

• Full AHPC registration
• Recognised degree in Occupational Therapy
• Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, service-oriented and customer-focused
• Motivated, self-driven and able to work independently and in a team
