Senior Pharmaceutical Technician

About the role

Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking a Senior Pharmaceutical Technician to support sterile drug product manufacturing in a GMP‑controlled environment. The role involves operating high‑speed filling lines, performing formulation tasks, and ensuring compliance with all safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and maintain pharmaceutical production equipment including high‑speed sterile filling lines, autoclaves, washers, depyrogenation tunnels, and CIP/SIP systems.
• Perform formulation, dispensing, parts preparation, sterilization, and packaging of drug substances and excipients according to batch records.
• Execute in‑process quality control sampling, bioburden and water testing, pH measurements, and filter integrity testing.
• Complete all required SAP material and process transactions and maintain accurate batch records in compliance with GMP and GDP.
• Conduct cleaning, equipment upkeep, and aseptic techniques, and report any quality or safety anomalies promptly.

Required profile

• Minimum “O” Level with NITEC/ITE or Diploma in a relevant field.
• 3‑5 years of experience in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment working under cGMP.
• Ability to work rotating 12‑hour shifts and lift up to 40 lb without assistance.
• Strong motivation to work in a team and adhere to safety and cleanroom protocols.

Required skills

• Operation of pharmaceutical production equipment (filling lines, autoclave, washers, depyrogenation tunnel).
• Management of CIP/SIP processes and equipment cleaning.
• SAP transaction processing for manufacturing steps.
• Aseptic technique and cleanroom compliance.
• In‑process QC sampling and analytical testing (bioburden, pH, water).
• Filter integrity testing (FIT) and preparation of test filters.
• Chemical and mathematical calculations for potency and endotoxin levels.
