Senior Pharmacy Technician

About the role

The Senior Pharmacy Technician will support pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications at NUHS Pharmacy, ensuring safe and efficient service for patients at National University Polyclinics.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain adequate stock levels and regularly top‑up medicines to enable smooth dispensing.
• Accurately pack and dispense prescriptions following established guidelines.
• Counsel patients on medication use, identify potential drug interactions, and report any issues to pharmacists.
• Perform routine checks and maintenance of pharmacy equipment such as refrigerators, weighing machines, computers, and printers.
• Monitor inventory, check expiry dates, and replenish consumables and patient information leaflets.
• Participate in repackaging, quality‑control checks, and ensure IT/automation equipment is functional.
• Contribute to quality‑assurance and improvement projects, suggesting workflow enhancements.

Required profile

• Fresh Diploma Graduate in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Certified Pharmacy Technician, or foreign Bachelor of Pharmacy.
• At least 3 years of clinical pharmacy experience.
• Strong customer service orientation and good interpersonal skills.
• Team player who is self‑motivated.
