Senior Process Engineer – Semiconductor Back-End Test

About the role

As a Senior Engineer Unit Process in Infineon's Research & Development team, you will lead semiconductor back‑end test unit process engineering and drive innovative projects that improve factory automation, reduce costs, and enhance product quality.

Key responsibilities

• Own semiconductor back‑end test unit process engineering.
• Drive and participate in cross‑functional Industrial 4.0 automation, process improvement and cost‑reduction projects.
• Analyze, improve, characterize and control processes to increase stability, reduce waste and support production ramp‑up.
• Lead investigations for deviation, crisis, risk management and mitigation.
• Lead change‑management initiatives.
• Support equipment qualification, defect characterization, commonality studies and yield improvement using data analysis and machine learning.
• Maintain and update Process Flow, FMEA, SOP, OCAP and Control Plans.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electronics Engineering or equivalent.
• 0‑3 years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing.
• Strong problem‑solving, communication and leadership abilities for cross‑functional teamwork.
• Knowledge of data analysis and visualization tools (Minitab, JMP, Tableau, Power BI).
• Basic programming skills in C/C++ or Python for embedded systems.
• Familiarity with IATF 16949 and change‑management processes.
• Expertise in FMEA, Lean Six Sigma, 8D methodology, Advanced Process Control and Statistical Process Control.
