Senior Product Designer, Search and Personalisation

About the role

The Search & Personalisation (SNP) team builds the intelligence layer behind Grab's app, surfacing what each user wants before they ask, across search, discovery, recommendations and cross-vertical personalisation. This role shapes experiences for search, discovery and personalisation surfaces, turning ML-driven content into intuitive interactions, and reports to the Head of Design, SPA & GFB. It is based onsite at the One North office.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end design for search, discovery or personalisation surfaces, from problem framing to shipped product.
• Design experiences where content is generated, working with ML and data teams to turn algorithmic outputs into user-facing interactions.
• Use data, experimentation results and qualitative research to find friction points and opportunities.
• Apply AI tools in the workflow for research synthesis, rapid prototyping, content generation and interaction exploration.
• Collaborate with PMs, engineers and data analysts on goals, validate assumptions and deliver measurable outcomes.
• Contribute to and maintain design system standards across high-traffic consumer surfaces.

Required profile

• 4-6 years of experience as a Product Designer or UX Designer, with a portfolio of shipped product work.
• Experience designing complex, data-rich tools in ads, B2B SaaS, e-commerce or marketplace products.
• Ability to frame design decisions with clear rationale and communicate work to PMs, engineers and other teams.

Required skills

• Interaction and visual design, including hierarchy, layout, component-level thinking and dense information environments.
• Figma and prototyping tools (e.g. ProtoPie).
• Design systems.
• AI fluency: using AI tools to speed up research, brainstorming and prototyping, and adopting new tools as they emerge.
