Senior Product Development Engineer (HVAC Systems)

About the role

A full-time Senior Product Development Engineer position based in Singapore, working mainly from the Tampines office and occasionally from Jurong East. The role covers the design, analysis and development of mechanical components and systems for HVAC applications.

Key responsibilities

• Design and optimise mechanical components for HVAC systems
• Analyse mechanical systems, including structural, fatigue, thermal and vibration aspects
• Develop manufacturing drawings in line with applicable standards
• Construct and build the developed systems
• Work with external vendors on component selection, manufacturing and system assembly
• Read, interpret and review technical drawings, schematics and computer-generated reports
• Generate operating procedures and provide technical information
• Review customer design proposals, specifications and requirements and propose solutions

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or an equivalent engineering degree; a diploma with good experience in mechanical design and system assembly is also considered
• Good mechanical aptitude and knowledge
• Background in HVAC engineering is a plus
• Experience in product development, especially HVAC product development, is a plus

Required skills

• Proficiency in SolidWorks and modelling
• Excellent problem-solving and project management skills
• Technical soundness combined with experience in sourcing, negotiation and cost control
