Senior Program Officer – Global Policy & Advocacy (Digital Public Infrastructure)

About the role

The Senior Program Officer will lead policy and advocacy efforts for the Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) and Inclusive Financial Systems (IFS) teams, helping shape global debates and build supportive partnerships.

Key responsibilities

• Advance the policy and advocacy goals of the DPI and IFS teams.
• Support country efforts to design, scale, and govern safe digital ID, data‑sharing, and verifiable credentials.
• Promote AI‑enabled services built on trusted DPI foundations and accessible in local languages.
• Invest in open‑source digital public goods and provide technical assistance for regulated implementation.
• Conduct research, measurement, and experimentation to inform policies across health, education, agriculture, and social protection.
• Assist governments and central banks in crafting inclusive financial policies, regulations, and instant payment systems.

Required profile

• Senior‑level experience in global policy, advocacy, and digital public infrastructure.
• Proven track record working with governments, central banks, NGOs, and multilateral partners.
• Deep understanding of digital ID, data‑sharing frameworks, fintech, and AI‑enabled services.
• Ability to lead cross‑functional teams and drive evidence‑based policy outcomes.
