Senior Project Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Project Engineer to lead multiple mechanical and electrical (M&E) projects across Singapore. You will own the full project lifecycle, from initial scope definition through design, installation, commissioning and final hand‑over, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Independently manage several concurrent M&E projects end‑to‑end, handling scope, subcontracts, proposals, budgeting and risk management.
• Lead project planning, scheduling and procurement forecasting to keep timelines on track.
• Review and sign off technical design documents, oversee detailed design work, equipment selection and duct/pipe sizing.
• Supervise equipment installation, M&E hookups and on‑site commissioning.
• Approve method statements, risk assessments and safe work procedures; conduct site inspections for compliance.
• Act as senior technical authority for complex M&E issues and subcontractor proposals.
• Coordinate with clients, suppliers, subcontractors and internal teams, escalating critical issues when needed.
• Mentor junior engineers, site supervisors and workers to meet schedule milestones safely.
• Ensure timely progress and variation claim submissions.
• Support business development through client engagement and tender input.

Required profile

• Degree or Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 5–8 years of experience managing M&E projects in construction (e.g., semiconductor, pharmaceutical, or subcontracting).
• Proven track record of delivering projects independently.
• Strong technical knowledge of M&E systems, construction contracts and commercial terms.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
