Senior Project Manager / Associate Director - Healthcare

About the role

Turner & Townsend is looking for a Senior Project Manager / Associate Director to lead the delivery of complex construction and workplace projects in the healthcare sector, from inception to completion. The role covers strategic planning, stakeholder management, governance and execution, portfolio oversight, team development and business growth, and includes overseeing invoicing through D-365.

Key responsibilities

• Mentor and develop junior project managers and team members, foster a collaborative team culture and demonstrate inclusive, accountable leadership.
• Lead multidisciplinary project teams including clients, consultants, contractors and suppliers, acting as the primary client contact and facilitating communication through meetings, reporting and documentation.
• Define the project execution strategy, KPIs and critical success factors, and establish governance frameworks for quality, safety, compliance, risk and environmental management.
• Drive executive-level reporting, implement project controls for schedule, cost, risk and change management, and guide design development in line with client and regulatory requirements.
• Lead end-to-end procurement, from tender strategy to vendor selection, and build strong partnerships with consultants and vendors.
• Monitor budgets and financial performance with the cost management team, manage variations, support commercial negotiations and contract administration, and manage invoicing via D-365.
• Conduct regular site inspections for safety, quality and progress, resolve construction issues with contractors and consultants, and manage permitting and statutory submissions.

Required profile

• Construction-related degree (e.g. Project Management, Construction Management, Design, Engineering) or equivalent.
• At least 15 years of experience in project management or construction projects.
• Strong communication and leadership skills with experience managing people.
• Business acumen, able to drive outcomes for clients, develop new business and coordinate with construction and design teams to meet deadlines.
• Client-facing experience with critical business development, advisory and value management skills, including value engineering and life cycle costing.
