Senior Project Manager, Oil & Gas - West Region

About the role

Turner & Townsend, a global professional services company with over 22,000 people in more than 60 countries, is hiring a Senior Project Manager for its Oil & Gas West Region. The role manages all aspects of project management for individual real estate projects, including planning, design, construction, occupancy and closeout.

Key responsibilities

• Manage budget, schedule, procurement, quality and risk for projects, and interface directly with clients to define project requirements.
• Prepare scope of work, resource requirements, cost estimates and budgets, work plans, schedules and milestones, quality control and risk identification.
• Identify project delivery resources from pre-qualified lists, run simple requests for proposals and complete bid analysis with management support.
• Implement communication plans for meetings and reports, facilitate project meetings and ensure project documentation governance, accuracy and timeliness.
• Track progress against goals, approved budgets and timelines, report status and variances and create action plans.
• Handle change requests: assess impacts on scope, budget, schedule, quality and risk, obtain client approval and issue change orders.
• Run standard risk management routines to identify risks, develop mitigation and contingency plans and implement action plans.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree (BA/BS/BEng/BArch) or equivalent related experience.
• Prior project management experience preferred.
• PMP (US and/or Canada) and LEED AP preferred.
• Knowledge of leases, contracts and construction practices preferred.

Required skills

• Intermediate analytical and quantitative skills.
• Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office Suite; working knowledge of MS Project is helpful.
• Ability to read and understand architectural drawings.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, strong organisational and analytical skills.
