Senior Quality Engineer (MQA)

About the role

The Senior Quality Engineer (MQA) will lead quality excellence across Molex's subcontractor manufacturing operations in Singapore. You will develop and execute strategic quality plans, resolve complex issues, and ensure compliance with the company’s quality management system.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor key quality indicators and launch improvement plans to meet targets.
• Execute high‑level quality strategies and lead daily process‑issue analysis.
• Provide disposition for in‑process, outgoing, and incoming rejects, with authority to block suspect stock.
• Analyze process weaknesses, collaborate with internal teams and external subcontractors on corrective actions.
• Create, review, and update SOPs, checklists, control plans, and special inspection instructions.
• Maintain QMS procedures and ensure ISO/TS compliance.
• Investigate customer complaints, conduct root‑cause analysis, and verify corrective actions.
• Plan and conduct routine audits of processes, customers, and suppliers.
• Perform MSA (GR&R) on equipment and operators as needed.
• Implement error‑proofing initiatives and design qualification plans, including tool qualification and validation.

Required profile

• Degree or diploma in Engineering (degree preferred).
• Minimum 5 years experience in quality engineering or related roles.
• Strong leadership, analytical, and statistical abilities.

Required skills

• QC core tools, SPC, 8D reporting, control plans, PFMEA, APQP.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, TS16949, PPAP.
• Proficiency in MS Office, basic GD&T, QMS auditing.
• Experience with statistical software such as Minitab.
