Senior R&D Engineer – New Product Introduction

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Engineer to lead R&D and New Product Introduction (NPI) activities at our Singapore headquarters. The role focuses on planning manufacturing processes, creating assembly work instructions, and ensuring a smooth transition from prototype to mass production.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and prepare product manufacturing process flow and layout.
• Develop manufacturing assembly work instructions and align BOM structure with process strategy.
• Estimate manufacturing cycle time and manpower requirements.
• Design and qualify assembly and sub‑assembly fixtures.
• Conduct PMFEA studies and implement risk‑mitigation initiatives.
• Perform DFA studies and collaborate with design teams to improve product design.
• Coordinate assembly line commissioning, validation, and operator training.
• Monitor manufacturing issues, especially design/DFA related, and drive corrective actions.
• Prepare process documentation for hand‑over to mass‑production sites.
• Define traceability requirements and support DGS implementation.
• Develop packaging instructions and label requirements for final products.
• Create inspection checklists for prototype builds.
