Senior Research Fellow – Process Modeling

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Research Fellow to join the Energy Research Institute at NTU in Singapore. The successful candidate will work within a multidisciplinary team to develop and apply process and analytical models that support the institute’s translational energy research.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and curate data from literature and industry sources.
• Estimate missing data and develop process, analytical and geospatial models.
• Perform quantitative performance assessments using appropriate modelling tools.
• Conduct scenario, sensitivity and uncertainty analyses to inform research objectives.
• Prepare manuscripts, technical reports, presentations and other dissemination materials.
• Guide and train graduate students and junior lab members.
• Maintain thorough documentation of modelling methods and analyses.
• Coordinate regularly with supervisors and international collaborators.

Required profile

• PhD in chemical engineering or a closely related discipline.
• Minimum three years of experience in process modelling.
• Strong written and oral communication abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ASPEN‑HYSYS.
• Experience using Geographic Information System (GIS) tools.
