Senior Research Fellow – Wireless Communications

About the role
We are seeking a Senior Research Fellow to lead pioneering research on pinching antennas for next‑generation wireless communications at the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Nanyang Technological University. The role involves designing, modelling and analysing innovative antenna‑enabled communication systems to enhance signal efficiency, channel capacity and overall network performance.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct research and development on pinching antenna technologies aligned with project goals.
- Prepare and submit conference and journal papers presenting project findings.
- Collaborate with faculty and researchers in wireless communications within the School.
- Participate in project meetings, deliver talks, posters and reports.
- Present results at national and international conferences and workshops.
- Perform any additional duties assigned by the Principal Investigator.
Required profile
- PhD in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science or a related discipline.
- Strong analytical, research and scientific writing abilities.
- Effective communication, teamwork and presentation skills.
- Self‑motivated, organised and able to meet research milestones and deadlines.
Required skills
- Knowledge of pinching antennas and wireless communications.
- Machine learning techniques applied to antenna modelling.
- Proficiency in Python for modelling and machine‑learning applications.
