Senior SAP Technical Consultant

About the role

ABeam Consulting is seeking a Senior SAP Technical Consultant to lead end‑to‑end ABAP design, development, and optimization for SAP ECC and S/4HANA environments. You will work closely with functional teams to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions while ensuring performance, security, and clean‑core compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead ABAP development, custom code remediation, and optimization for S/4HANA migrations.
• Design and implement solutions using ABAP Objects, CDS Views, AMDP, and OData services.
• Develop applications with RAP (RESTful ABAP Programming Model) and support SAP Fiori/UI5 backend services.
• Build and maintain interfaces via IDoc, RFC, BAPI, Proxy, REST, and SOAP APIs.
• Collaborate with functional teams, provide technical leadership, conduct code reviews, and mentor junior developers.
• Support production issues and lead root‑cause analysis.

Required profile

• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience mentoring junior analysts or developers.
• Ability to work independently and within a collaborative consulting environment.

Required skills

• S/4HANA ABAP development and custom code adaptation.
• CDS Views (basic, composite, consumption, analytical).
• AMDP & HANA SQLScript.
• RAP / EML (preferred).
• OData Services (SEGW / RAP‑based).
• SAP Fiori backend enablement.
• IDoc, RFC, BAPI, Proxies.
• REST / SOAP APIs.
• Exposure to SAP BTP, CAP, or cloud integrations (preferred).
• Knowledge of SAP UI5/Fiori frontend and Clean Core principles (a plus).
