Technical Executive – School of Health and Social Sciences

About the role

The School of Health and Social Sciences is seeking a Technical Executive to ensure the smooth operation of its IT infrastructure. You will be responsible for maintaining equipment, supporting users, and contributing to the school’s digital initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Perform scheduled checks, maintenance, and software updates on IT equipment across designated venues.
• Maintain accurate records of hardware, software inventory, repairs, and maintenance schedules.
• Identify equipment shortages, manage condemnation processes, and place orders for replacements.
• Provide technical support to staff and students, troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
• Assist with school system administration, e‑assessment platforms, cybersecurity measures, network, server, and peripheral maintenance.
• Support the School IT team on ongoing projects, committees, and quality‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Diploma in IT or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience.
• Customer‑service oriented, motivated, resourceful, responsible and a team‑player.
• Strong diagnostic, problem‑solving and time‑management abilities.

Required skills

• Experience with Robotic Process Automation (RPA) or Power Automate.
• Basic programming skills (advantageous).
