Senior Software Engineer – Embedded Systems

About the role

Renesas is seeking a versatile Senior Software Engineer to design and deliver desktop and cloud‑based tools for its microcontroller portfolio. You will work closely with customers and internal teams to turn requirements into high‑quality, maintainable software.

Key responsibilities

• Develop desktop and cloud software tools for Renesas microcontrollers.
• Analyse requirements, produce design documentation, and implement source code.
• Create test specifications, execute testing, and ensure software quality.
• Provide technical support, training, and documentation for customers using microcomputer applications.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or Computer Science.
• Strong knowledge of Java, Typescript, Python and familiarity with web front‑end development.
• Passion for writing well‑architected, readable code.
• Self‑motivated team player with proactive, collaborative attitude.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills.
