Senior Software Engineer, Low Latency

About the role

DRW, a diversified trading firm with over 30 years of experience, is looking for a C++ Software Engineer to develop new and improve existing low-latency trade execution systems for its Asia Equity Options business. You will join the desk and play an integral part in the interaction between research and trading teams, working with cutting-edge low-latency technologies alongside senior technologists.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze and discuss requirements from stakeholders
• Facilitate discussions on code implementation, testing and software architecture best practices
• Drive projects and lead new initiatives
• Work with the team to resolve challenging design and coding issues
• Evaluate new technologies, tools, frameworks and software components for integration

Required profile

• At least 4 years of experience in the trading industry
• Prior experience on options or derivative products
• Background in multi-threaded programming and strong understanding of hardware/software interaction
• Experience working with research teams and quants
• Comfortable working under the hood, with performance tuning and troubleshooting skills

Required skills

• Strong C++ knowledge (Boost, STL)
• High-availability systems with very tight resource and latency constraints
• Experience with ultra-low-latency FPGA trading systems and distributed systems
• Python is a plus
