About the role

The National University Health System (NUHS) is recruiting a Senior / Staff Nurse for its NUH Dialysis Centre. The nurse provides care to patients undergoing haemodialysis (HD), haemodiafiltration (HDF) and peritoneal dialysis (PD), including assessment, treatment delivery, education and quality assurance.

Key responsibilities

Assess patients, identify their needs and manage those with different vascular accesses undergoing HD or HDF.
Perform HD, HDF and PD according to treatment plans and manage safety and complications.
Review blood results and clinical parameters and work with physicians to adjust dialysis regimens and medications.
Assess and perform quality assurance of dialysis water and fluid in line with hospital policy and Ministry of Health guidelines.
Educate patients on vascular access care, diet and fluid restrictions and provide counselling when needed.
Assess patients' suitability for PD and provide PD training and competency assessment so patients and caregivers can perform PD at home.
