Senior / Staff Nurse (Emergency)

About the role

JurongHealth Campus, comprising Ng Teng Fong General Hospital and Jurong Community Hospital, is recruiting a Senior / Staff Nurse (Emergency) to provide high-quality patient care in the emergency department. The position is available full time or part time.

Key responsibilities

• Triage each patient and set the priority of care based on physical, psychological and social needs.
• Perform focused patient assessments of chief complaint, medical history and medications in line with triage guidelines.
• Provide safe, patient-centred care while observing patient comfort.
• Monitor patients regularly, document care and assessments, and act promptly on adverse symptoms.
• Assist clinicians with examinations, diagnostic tests and treatments.
• Help with CPR and other emergency treatments and stabilise patients with the physician.
• Inform patients and next of kin about care and treatment, liaise with other units for admissions, and accompany critically ill patients to other hospitals.

Required profile

• Registered with the Singapore Nursing Board (SNB).
• Diploma in Nursing or State Registered Nurse Certificate.
• At least 1 year of inpatient ward experience as Staff Nurse.
• A relevant Advanced Nursing Diploma or equivalent is preferred for the Senior Staff Nurse position.
