Senior Supply Chain Analyst

About the role

Flex is looking to add a Supply Chain Specialist to its Kallang, Singapore team. The role supports teams that build products, covering sourcing, pricing, cost control and supplier coordination. Specialized job controls may be required depending on the position.

Key responsibilities

• Drive sourcing and pricing strategies in materials quotations, and present materials value-add to customers or suppliers, influencing them to use preferred suppliers.
• Interface with customers or suppliers on new projects regarding cost of ownership, and define and implement pricing and costing strategies.
• Develop and guide flexibility and supply assurance plans, and manage component cost and price locally, regionally and globally.
• Track material financial performance and initiate corrective actions when needed; coordinate sourcing strategies with Supply Management and customers.
• Develop and implement cost take-down strategies, and increase vendor-managed inventory, reduced guide time and electronic data interface penetration.
• Supply management: negotiate regional supplier contracts (MOU, NDA, pricing agreements), measure and report purchase price variance, monitor supplier lead times, mitigate shortages and excess stock, and contribute to commodity teams and supplier scorecards.
• Customer supply chain: manage material cost reviews, drive retained purchase price variance (RPPV) optimization, reconcile PPV, premium charges, carrying costs, freight and excess/obsolete, and coordinate quarterly or monthly PPV calls.
• Identify opportunities to increase turnkey business and develop a materials management plan.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years of experience in finance, materials sourcing, commodity management, supply chain design/management or a related area.
• Understanding of cost accounting, electronic component markets, price trends and technologies.
• Background in electronics manufacturing and a thorough understanding of the OEM product development process.
