Senior Tax Analyst, APAC

About the role

Illumina is looking for a Senior Tax Analyst to join its regional tax team in Singapore. The role is APAC tax compliance focused and works closely with the tax teams in the APAC and US regions. You will support the Senior Tax Manager in fostering collaboration with stakeholders and ensuring tax compliance governance and efficient tax processes in the region, while also leading or taking part in business expansion, system enhancement and other strategic projects.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all direct and indirect tax return filings and queries/audits, ensuring completeness and accuracy and meeting internal and external timelines
• Research and monitor tax legislation changes, advise internal stakeholders and report their implications to the Group
• Prepare monthly reconciliations for tax accounts and calculate tax provisions and deferred tax for financial close and statutory audits
• Lead or take part in cross-functional projects, evaluating tax impacts and designing workflows and systems to achieve the desired tax outcomes
• Maintain good relationships with tax authorities and consultants

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Taxation
• Minimum 5-8 years of experience in accounting or taxation, including direct and indirect tax compliance
• Prior experience with incentives and grants is highly preferred
• Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment and solve problems analytically
• Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Prior experience with SAP or an equivalent ERP system is preferred
