Senior Technical Architect - Public Sector

About the role

Salesforce is seeking Senior Technical Architects to join its Professional Services Public Sector team in Singapore. The role acts as a strategic advisor and Salesforce product and platform expert to the company's largest and most complex customers, working with them and their partners during project cycles.

Key responsibilities

• Share deep knowledge of the Salesforce.com platform and product suite, architect the solution and guide implementation
• Evaluate business and technical requirements and guide project vision, approach and key artefacts
• Coordinate and align the work of multiple architects on the team, and support planning with project and engagement managers
• Review and guide the implementation approach, manage early solution evaluation and issues, and engage with executives, the account team, engineering and product management
• Provide hands-on application configuration where needed, and direct and mentor customers, partners and colleagues
• Support internal initiatives and, where required, pre-sales activities

Required profile

• Hands-on technical consulting and solution implementation experience in a major software domain (e.g. CRM, ERP, HR)
• Coding experience in object-oriented languages
• Ability to analyse, design and optimise business processes through technology and integration
• Experience guiding customers in deploying emerging technology, and experience in a distributed team
• Willingness to travel regionally depending on customer needs

Preferred qualifications

• Detailed understanding of Web Services, data modelling and enterprise application architecture, including ESB/ETL tools and integration patterns with systems such as CMS, ERP, HRIS and DWH
• Relationship-building with C-level and key decision-makers
• Previous Senior Architect or CTO role in a mid-to-large organisation
• Experience delivering enterprise applications on the Salesforce Platform, including coded solutions
• Public sector experience in Singapore or across South Asia
