Senior Technical Specialist, MFG (MM) - Fixed Term

About the role

Lonza is hiring a Senior Technical Specialist, Manufacturing (MM) for a fixed-term contract at its Tuas site in Singapore. The role leads and supports operational readiness for technology transfers and process campaigns, manages run activities and drives continuous improvement in manufacturing operations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and support operational readiness for technology transfers and process campaigns, including MBR development/revision and Change Requests.
• Manage and execute operational run activities, supporting deviation assessments, CAPAs and rejected material management.
• Lead investigations of deviations, non-conformities and trends, performing root cause analysis and defining CAPAs.
• Facilitate discussions with SMEs and Quality Assurance specialists to close investigations and lot dispositions on time.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives in Manufacturing operations and mentor junior team members.
• Uphold data integrity and improve processes in line with Lonza policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Biochemical Engineering or in Science (Biochemistry, Chemistry, Microbiology).
• Demonstrated ability to perform two out of three critical manufacturing aspects: Readiness, Run and Release.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and hands-on knowledge of manufacturing equipment.
• Experience leading deviation investigations and root cause analysis using structured methods such as 5 Whys and Ishikawa.
• Excellent communication, presentation and technical writing skills, and proven ability to manage changing priorities.
