Senior Therapy Associate (Occupational Therapy) - 2 Year Contract

About the role

JurongHealth Campus, part of the National University Health System (NUHS), is hiring a Senior Therapy Associate (Occupational Therapy) for a 2-year contract. The associate assists the therapist in clinical duties at Ng Teng Fong General Hospital or Jurong Community Hospital, supporting patient assessment, treatment delivery and programme coordination.

Key responsibilities

• Patient assessment and monitoring: take vitals, administer questionnaires, take basic case histories, conduct screenings and clinical assessments, and monitor patient progress
• Set up patients on therapeutic equipment and facilitate treatment modalities under therapist guidance
• Assist with mobilisation, therapeutic activities, exercises and retraining, and provide training on transfer, gait, prosthetic and mobility aids
• Apply orthotics, fabricate advanced splints and modify existing ones
• Lead group therapy sessions independently and run therapy programmes, including pre-discharge training at Lifehub and Mobility Park
• Educate patients and caregivers, help with language translation, prepare diet consistencies and flag clinical issues for the therapist
• Document information accurately in the electronic system and report clinical matters to the therapist

Required profile

• Degree in Occupational Therapy from a WFOT-accredited programme, or a postgraduate Master's in Occupational Therapy with a relevant bachelor's degree in health sciences; qualification not recognised by the Singapore Allied Health Professional Council (AHPC)
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience as an occupational therapist outside Singapore
• Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team
