Senior/Engineer, NAND Silicon Design Validation

About the role

Micron is hiring a NAND Silicon Design Validation Engineer to join a team developing and validating NAND Flash memory products. The role spans pre-silicon concept development and post-silicon validation, covering the full product lifecycle. It involves modern technologies, simulations and detailed validation documentation, and is central to identifying and resolving design-related problems.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with R&D teams, designers and engineering departments to troubleshoot and validate device testing programs.
• Act as the main contact for critical product issues, linking R&D, Manufacturing, Business Units and Quality Assurance.
• Develop, validate and qualify new NAND Flash memory products.
• Define and validate product configuration parameters.
• Use CAD tools and Verilog simulations for build verification and circuit analysis.
• Identify build marginalities and recommend circuit fixes.
• Perform electrical failure analysis and use engineering benches and testers for device characterization.
• Support preparation of engineering samples.
• Integrate AI-assisted tools into daily work and share AI-enabled improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor's, Master's or PhD degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
• Experience working independently in a fast-paced environment with high attention to detail.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills and effective cross-functional communication.
• Team-oriented and adaptable to dynamic environments with stringent qualification requirements.

Required skills

• Knowledge of semiconductor device physics and circuit building.
• Verilog and Cadence tools.
• Familiarity with AI/ML efficiency tools for engineering workflows.
• Data analysis tools such as JMP and Python.
• Baseline digital proficiency and AI literacy.
