Senior/Engineer, Shift Process, NTI Real Defect Analysis

About the role

Micron is hiring a Senior/Engineer for its Shift Process team, focused on NTI Real Defect Analysis (RDA). The role drives continuous improvement of RDA equipment applications and recipe flows, supports cost-saving and productivity initiatives, and works with operations teams and process owners. It involves shift work, including weekends.

Key responsibilities

• Improve RDA equipment applications and recipe setup flows to reduce time-to-recipe, improve repeatability and data quality
• Support cost-saving and productivity initiatives using best-known methods, recipe reuse and workflow optimization
• Support tool recovery after tool downs, upgrades or excursions
• Manage hardware logistics such as tool access and scheduling, and coordinate with cross-team partners
• Support RAM lot and tool operations, including performance optimization and cost-saving projects
• Manage lot disposition and tool operations to ensure accurate lot measurements
• Work with teams such as HVM RAM to align with metrology and RDA processes, and with process owners to ensure actions match specifications
• Coordinate and deliver training or briefings for the operations team on procedures and best-known methods
• Track operational performance metrics and run continuous improvement efforts
• Follow safety procedures and work rules, and take on additional assignments as advised by the supervisor
• Use AI to streamline workflows, optimize processes and enable data-driven decisions

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Nano-optoelectronics or Material Science
• 3 years of experience in a semiconductor manufacturing environment, especially in RDA
• Experience optimizing tools and recipes
• Willingness to work in shifts, day or night, including weekends
