Senior/Manager, Data Analytics & Translation (2-Year Contract)

About the role

The Health Promotion Board's Research, Evaluation and Monitoring (REM) division turns research and emerging technologies into health promotion programmes, supporting evidence-based, outcomes-driven interventions. As a member of the Analytics and Translation team, you will join a cross-functional, matrix team and work on high-impact projects in priority growth areas.

Key responsibilities

• Generate actionable insights from advanced analytics on diverse datasets (large longitudinal cohorts, sensors, combined datasets) using statistical and machine learning approaches to support risk prediction, population segmentation and behavioural pattern identification.
• Support predictive models and segmentation approaches such as clustering to inform programme targeting, intervention design and risk stratification.
• Set up and support behavioural experiments and programme evaluations, including study design, data preparation and analysis.
• Develop data-driven narratives that turn technical findings into clear, actionable insights for internal and external stakeholders.
• Work with cross-functional teams and external partners on analytics projects and knowledge sharing.
• Support data pipelines, feature engineering and dataset preparation, including work with relevant data platforms.

Required profile

• Degree in statistics, data analytics, social sciences, life sciences, public health or a related quantitative discipline.
• At least 2-6 years of practical experience working with data as an analyst or in a related role.
• Experience applying statistical techniques and/or machine learning methods to real-world datasets.
• Strong communication skills, project management skills and comfort working independently and in a team.

Required skills

• Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g. R, Python).
• Advantageous: Databricks, SparkR, PySpark, SPSS, STATA, programme evaluation methods or quasi-experimental designs.

Successful candidates will be offered a 2-year contract in the first instance.
