Senior/Staff Algorithm Engineer – Image & Video Processing

About the role

OMNIVISION Technologies Singapore is looking for a Senior/Staff Algorithm Engineer to lead the development of cutting‑edge image and video processing algorithms for camera systems. You will work closely with hardware teams to translate research into high‑performance, production‑ready solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Research, design and implement advanced image processing, color processing and computer‑vision algorithms for digital cameras.
• Enhance existing algorithms to boost image quality, functionality and performance.
• Collaborate with hardware designers to optimise and validate algorithms on embedded platforms.
• Perform image‑quality tuning, evaluation and benchmarking against industry standards.
• Document algorithm designs, methodologies and validation results.
• Prepare technical demos and support internal and external presentations.
• Work with cross‑functional and external partners to align system requirements and deliverables.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or a related discipline.
• Strong foundation in camera image processing and/or computer‑vision algorithms.
• Solid understanding of digital photography principles and image‑quality assessment.
• Proficiency in C/C++ and Python programming.
• Excellent analytical, organisational and technical writing abilities.
