Service & Bar Associate / Lead

About the role

A front-of-house hospitality team is looking for a Service & Bar Associate who can grow into a Lead. The role sits at the heart of guest experience, developing skills in both service and bar operations in a welcoming, professional environment.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome and seat guests, ensuring a warm and attentive experience from arrival to departure
• Take food and beverage orders accurately and pass them on to the kitchen and bar teams
• Prepare, mix and serve a range of beverages, including cocktails, wines, spirits and non-alcoholic options, to a consistent standard
• Maintain thorough knowledge of the menu, including specials, ingredients and allergen information
• Handle point-of-sale transactions, process payments and reconcile till takings
• Set up, maintain and break down service areas, keeping them clean and organised
• Follow licensing regulations and responsible service of alcohol guidelines
• (Lead) Supervise and coach Associates, delegate tasks and handle guest feedback and escalations
• (Lead) Help with scheduling, stock checks and end-of-shift reporting, and support private events and special occasions

Required profile

• Prior guest-facing food and beverage or hospitality experience; bar experience is a distinct advantage
• Passion for delivering excellent guest experiences in a polished, professional way
• Strong English communication; other languages are a bonus
• Team-oriented, reliable and punctual, able to stay calm and detailed under pressure at peak times
• (Lead) Proven ability to guide and motivate a small team, with strong organisation and problem-solving skills
• Flexible to work shifts, including evenings, weekends and public holidays
• Relevant certifications such as responsible service of alcohol are advantageous
