Service Engineer – Electrical/Mechanical (MTU Power Systems)

About the role

Rolls‑Royce’s MTU Power Systems is seeking a Service Engineer to deliver hands‑on technical support for electrical, electronic and mechanical power solutions. You will work on‑site at customer locations and in‑house workshops, ensuring MTU engines and related equipment operate at peak performance.

Key responsibilities

• Perform installation, commissioning, routine maintenance, troubleshooting and repair/overhaul of MTU engines and associated equipment.
• Independently manage field service jobs according to work orders, maintaining quality standards and customer satisfaction.
• Conduct system acceptance tests with customers, verify performance and document results.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical or system‑related issues efficiently.
• Prepare detailed technical service reports, investigation summaries and corrective actions.
• Submit travel and job completion reports to record project milestones.
• Ensure compliance with WSHA and company safety guidelines during all activities.
• Support continuous improvement of service processes and contribute to operational excellence.

Required profile

• ITE, Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Marine Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a service or maintenance engineering environment, preferably with power systems or industrial equipment.
• Knowledge of hybrid, electrified or digitalised power solutions is preferred.
